Description: The capabilities of measuring entire temperature profile and dynamic pressure at specific points of a geothermal well lead to Enhanced Geothermal Systems for detecting temporal changes during injection and production.
With properly designed steel tube cables, compatible even with harsh environments such as for example high-enthalpy geothermal wells, permanent distributed temperature monitoring solutions can be adopted in order to characterize ground thermal parameters, fluid movements and optimizing well performance. Without the need to move the cable, as conventional sensing techniques require, dynamic conditions can be processed and with additional FBG-based multipoint sensors located at specific depths, the fluid-dynamic and geological models can be enhanced by pressure information.
